I love a mix of adventure RP with some easygoing tavern RP. I generally don't like playing magic users, as they always end up feeling too OP for me. I'd rather slash, stab, or shoot things. I tend to RP on the more realistic side of things, so characters that are unreasonably Grand or Powerful tend to turn me off of RP with those individuals.
I really enjoy plots for the adventure side of me, but casual pick-up RP at a tavern or campsite is great too, and some of my best character development has come out of those little interactions. I lean towards interacting in smaller groups of players and find it too hard to keep up with a ton of text scrolling.
I'm the same in that I like starting my characters at the beginning so I can watch them grow and develop their personality and relationships with others. I lean towards altaholism, but with Pax Dei, I'll probably be limited, so that's probably a good thing!
I'm also a total lore junkie, so I'll probably be some explorer/adventurer who delves into ancient ruins with much joy. The more haunted, the better!
I'm really excited to see how this game world develops and the stories we can weave!
