Hello everyone. I hope that I am posting this not too early or in the wrong spot? There is only a couple days left of the current alpha, so this will be sort of a 'pin in it for later' thing, but I want to make a roleplay clan of PKK-er (player-killer killer) mercenaries for hire, especially when the game comes out proper.
This clan will be focused around making a small settlement near one of the Wild's gates, and will specialize in escorting people into the wilds or going on quests for them (such as gathering raw supplies) if the pay is right. While they are a band of mercenaries, the plan is not for them to be ruthless or heartless. They are protectors and defenders, not killers. People who just want to assist the settlement and not engage incombat are more than welcome, and I hope we can also do plenty of PVE, as well.
In-roleplay, my character wants to start by simply opening a tavern near a Wild's gate - for travelers to rest and recuperate - and is looking for able bodies who want to help, fighting-types or not. This is a clan starting from zero rather than an pre-established organized group, so feel free to use a character you have who has heard about it and would be interested, or to make one from scratch. Organically I would say they would have seen a flyer, or heard of it by 'word of mouth'.
I want my character to specialize in cooking, though I'm not sure what fighting style I will be going into, I'm still trying out weapons and styles. That being said I'm not against other cooks joining, and any profession is most welcome.
I am thinking of calling the clan "Loios' tears" after an ingame flower, which further gets it's name from an actual figure in the game's lore that was murdered, which brought on the current "Great Downfall" - though I'm open to other name suggestions (or corrections if I'm wrong about that bit of lore).
Though there's only a few days left, I'd be delighted to get together with anyone who has the alpha and is interested, and just test out capability and throw around ideas. If there is interest I can also make a discord for the clan itself. I'm currently on a US server, on Annwyn - Kerys - Llydaw, but not as my character. I'd be more than happy to make a fresh one and just mess around for the last remaining alpha days, if anyone else has a key.
It has been some time since I've roleplayed on an MMO or even played one, and have been eager to get back into the scene - I've loved the game so far and want to try.
