I want to know what kind of RP you like. There are players who only play with people they know, others are looking for publicly accessible RP. Some like to play slice of life, others like adventures or (planned/guided) plots. Some like to be a game master in a plot, others not at all. And some characters seem to be at home in every tavern. And that is certainly only the tip of the iceberg. Tell me a bit about your preferences.

I'll start right away and have to admit that I'm leaning a bit in all directions.

Basically, I like to have a reasonably fixed RP group around me (can be within a guild or a project, but doesn't have to be), but it should still be accessible to outsiders. Every now and then I also like to play with just one other person or a smaller group, as this gives everyone more opportunities to develop in the RP.

Character development is close to my heart, so I find a good mix of slice of life and adventures/plots important, because if you're just rushing from one adventure to the next, there's sometimes not enough time to internalise what's happening. But you also need these experiences to have something to talk about in everyday RP.

Huge events, on the other hand, are less my thing. Depending on how good/comfortable the chat is in the game, there is simply a certain limit beyond which it can become exhausting to follow what is happening or to hear when you are spoken to. Every now and then I take part in big events and it's also fun. But (as a player) it is usually not relaxing.

Ich wollte mal wissen, welche Art von RP euch gefällt. Es gibt ja Spieler, die nur mit Leuten spielen, die sie kennen, andere suchen vor allem öffentlich zugängliches RP. Die einen Spielen gerne Slice of Life, andere wiederum vor allem Abenteuer oder (geplante/geleitete) Plots. Manche sind gerne Spielleiter in einem Plot andere gar nicht. Und manch ein Charakter schein in jeder Taverne beheimatet zu sein. Und das ist sicherlich nur die Spitze des Eisbergs. Erzählt mal ein Bisschen, was ihr präferiert.

Ich mach dann auch gleich den Anfang und muss zugeben, dass ich ein wenig in alle Richtungen tendiere.

Grundsätzlich habe ich gerne eine halbwegs feste RP-Gruppe um mich (kann innerhalb einer Gilde oder eines Projekts sein, muss aber nicht), aber es sollte dennoch auch für Außenstehende zugänglich sein. Hin und wieder spiele ich aber auch gern mal nur mit einer anderen Person oder einer kleineren Gruppe, da hier jeder mehr Möglichkeiten zur Entfaltung im RP gibt.

Charakterentwicklung liegt mir am Herzen und somit finde eine gute Mischung aus Slice of Life und Abenteuer/Plots wichtig, denn wenn man nur von einem Abenteuer ins nächste stürzt, bleibt manchmal zu wenig Zeit, um die Geschehnisse zu verinnerlichen. Doch es braucht auch diese Erlebnisse, um im RP-Alltag etwas zu erzählen zu haben.

Riesige Events sind hingegen weniger mein Ding. Je nachdem, wie gut/komfortabel der Chat im Spiel ist, gibt es einfach eine gewisse Grenze, ab der es anstrengend werden kann, dem Geschehen zu folgen bzw. mitzubekommen, wenn man angesprochen wird. Hin und wieder nehme ich an großen Events teil und es macht auch Spaß. Nur (als Spieler) entspannend ist es meistens nicht.

As French is one of the supported languages of Pax Die, we would like to offer the platform in French, if there is interest. However, due to lack of language skills, this is not easily possible. It would require one or ideally more people who can translate content and also take over moderation in the French forum.
In this thread, I would like to ask about the general interest on the one hand, and on the other hand, whether someone would be willing to do the translation work and moderation. Prerequisite would be of course good language skills in French and language skills in English or German for communication.

Da Französisch zu den unterstützten Sprachen von Pax Die gehört, würden wir, sofern Interesse besteht, die Plattform auch gerne auf Französisch anbieten. Mangelns Sprachkenntnis ist das jedoch nicht ohne weiteres möglich. Es würde eine oder idealerweise mehrere Personen benötigen, die Übersetzungen von Inhalten vornehmen können und auch die Moderation im französischen Forum übernehmen.

In diesem Thread will ich einerseits nach dem generellen Interesse fragen und andererseits, ob jemand bereit für die Übersetzungsarbeit und Moderation wäre. Voraussetzung wäre natürlich gute Sprachkenntnis in Französisch und Sprachkenntnis in Englisch oder Deutsch für die Kommunikation.

PaxDei-RP.com is still very fresh and in order to grow and provide a mature and solid platform for the (future) roleplay community in Pax Dei, support is still needed in several areas. Below I present some areas for which volunteers are needed. One person can take on more than one area if desired.

If you want to support the platform without being involved in one of the areas, please contact me anyway. Maybe we can find a suitable task for you.

Moderators

Responsibilities

Moderators help to keep the platform healthy. They check whether topics are in the right areas, the terms of use are being adhered to and, if necessary, intervene if there are riots within the platform. The plan is to always have enough moderators so that the workload is well distributed.

In general, moderators have a weighty say when decisions are made around the platform.

Requirements

Language skills: English and/or German.

Friendly manners, incorruptibility and objectivity are the cornerstones of a moderator. On top of that, good teamwork skills are necessary.

Other

Of course, moderators are only needed as the number of members grows. Nevertheless, I am happy to accept applications already, so that there is time to get to know each other.

Discord/Social-Media Administrator

We found support for Discord.

Responsibilities

Nowadays a website/forum is only half the story. A Discord server is definitely part of an engaged community but other social media platforms could also be interesting. Specifically, we are looking for someone to help manage and administer the Discord server of PaxDei-RP.com. If interested, other social media channels can be created and operated.

Requirements

Language skills: English and/or German (ideally both languages).

Competence in using Discord and/or other social media channels. Ideally experience with the Discord bot MEE6.

Other

Someone is urgently needed to set up the Discord server adequately.

Designer

Responsibilities

Logos, graphics, styles for the website, and much more are needed again and again, but especially at the beginning and adjustments mostly after major software updates. As a designer, appropriate graphics and styles should be created/edited.

Requirements

Language skills: English and/or German.

Experience in creating graphics, logos, designs or entire CI/CDs.

Ideally also experience with styles within the Woltlab Community Suite.

Other

As a designer you are in charge of creating the appearance of PaxDei-RP.com. In order to create an appropriate design, a designer is urgently sought.

Administrator (Assistance)

Responsibilities

Helping with the administration of the platform, especially in case of my absence. From time to time I am not available for a few days due to my business activities or sometimes I am on holiday. Accordingly, in such a case, the administrative work should be taken over by another administrator.

Requirements

Language skills: English and German.

Technical competence with Woltlab Community Suite.

Ability to work in a team

Other

I must be able to trust the administrator assistance. Accordingly, the getting-to-know-you phase will certainly take longer and administration areas may be unlocked gradually.

Community Relations

Responsibilities

Maintaining contact between other Pax Dei projects, guilds, groupings, etc. Helping to organise events within PaxDei-RP.com like contests, raffles and likewise.

Requirements

Language skills: English and/or German.

Sociability and friendly manners are indispensable for this job.

Other

The CR is important to make the platform known on the one hand, but also to support other community projects and to keep in touch.

English proof reader

Responsibilities

As I am not a native speaker, I would like someone to proofread the PaxDei-RP.com official English texts and suggest/perform corrections if necessary.

Requirements

Language skills: English

Unfortunately, I cannot offer anything in return at the moment, apart from my gratitude, the appreciation of the work (e.g. by naming you in the imprint, etc.) and the right to have a say in the direction and future of this platform. In the medium term, I am also willing to hand over more responsibility to team members and grant them a corresponding amount of freedom. I also promise to always have an open ear for everyone in the team and to fully accept that the work here is done on a voluntary basis and in one's spare time, and thus naturally often cannot be given top priority.

Hallo allerseits!

PaxDei-RP.com ist noch ganz frisch und um zu wachsen und der (zukünftigen) Rollenspiel-Community in Pax Dei eine ausgereifte und solide Plattform zu bieten, wird noch Unterstützung in mehreren Bereichen benötigt. Nachfolgend stelle ich einige Bereiche vor, für die Freiwillige gesucht werden. Eine Person kann auf Wunsch auch mehrere Bereiche übernehmen.

Willst du die Plattform unterstützen, ohne dich in einem der Bereiche wiederzufinden, melde dich gerne trotzdem. Vielleicht finden wir eine passende Aufgabe für dich.

Moderatoren

Im Augenblick haben wir ausreichend Moderatoren.

Aufgabengebiete

Moderatoren helfen dabei, die Plattform gesund zu halten. Sie kontrollieren, ob Themen in den richtigen Bereichen sind, ob die Nutzungsbestimmungen eingehalten werden und greifen notfalls ein, wenn es zu Ausschreitungen innerhalb der Plattform kommt. Der Plan ist es, stets ausreichend Moderatoren zu haben, sodass die Arbeitslast gut verteilt ist.

In der Regel haben Moderatoren ein gewichtiges Mitspracherecht, wenn Entscheidungen rund um die Plattform getroffen werden.

Voraussetzungen

Sprachkenntnis: Deutsch und/oder Englisch.

Freundliches Auftreten, Unbestechlichkeit und Objektivität sind die Eckpfeiler eines Moderators. Obendrein ist eine gute Team-Fähigkeit notwendig.

Sonstiges

Natürlich werden Moderatoren erst mit wachsender Mitgliederanzahl benötigt. Dennoch nehme ich gerne schon Bewerbungen entgegen, sodass Zeit bleibt, sich kennenzulernen.

Discord/Social-Media Administrator

Administrator (Assistenz)

Aufgabengebiete

Mithilfe bei der Administration der Plattform, vor allem im Falle meiner Abwesenheit. Hin und wieder bin ich für wenige Tage durch meine berufliche Tätigkeit nicht verfügbar oder auch mal auf Urlaub. Entsprechend sollte in so einem Fall die administrative Tätigkeit von einem weiteren Administrator übernommen werden.

Voraussetzungen

Sprachkenntnis: Deutsch und Englisch.

Technische Kompetenz mit der Woltlab Community Suite.

Team-Fähigkeit

Sonstiges

Ich muss der Administrator-Assistenz vertrauen können. Entsprechend dauert die Kennenlern-Phase sicherlich länger und Administrationsbereiche werden ggf. nach und nach freigeschaltet.

Community-Relations

Aufgabengebiete

Kontakt zwischen anderen Pax Dei-Projekten, Gilden, Gruppierungen, etc. halten. Mithilfe bei der Organisation von Events innerhalb von PaxDei-RP.com wie Wettbewerben, Gewinnspielen und ähnlichem.

Voraussetzungen

Sprachkenntnis: Deutsch und/oder Englisch.

Kontaktfreudigkeit und freundliches Auftreten sind unabdingbar für dieses Aufgabengebiet.

Sonstiges

Die CR ist wichtig, um einerseits die Plattform bekannt zu machen, andererseits aber auch genauso andere Community-Projekte zu unterstützen und den Kontakt zu halten.

Interesse geweckt?

Eine Gegenleistung abseits meiner Dankbarkeit, der Würdigung der Arbeit (z.B. auf Wunsch durch namentliche Nennung im Impressum, etc.) und dem Mitspracherecht bei der Ausrichtung und Zukunft dieser Plattform kann ich leider im Augenblick nicht anbieten. Mittelfristig bin ich auch gerne dazu bereit, mehr Verantwortung an Team-Mitglieder abzutreten und entsprechend viele Freiheiten zu gewähren. Ich verspreche auch stets ein offenes Ohr für jedem aus dem Team zu haben und vollste Akzeptanz, dass die Arbeit hier ehrenamtlich und in der Freizeit geschieht und somit natürlich oft nicht an erster Stelle stehen kann
